Sunday Funday

Sundays are the best days to relax and do what makes you happy. My friend Sara and I have been trying to go thrifting together for the longest. So we finally decided last minute to go to The Golden Nugget flea market in NJ. We both scored a few items just enough to fit in her car. I can spend all day at this awesome vintage flea market. We went at 9 am which made parking easy and traffic was light. We were done by 11:30 and decided to get brunch in New Hope, PA. I’ve lived in Philly all of my life but have never been to New Hope. It is the most adorable, historic, scenic town I’ve been to in PA. We ate at Karla’s and both had eggs Benedict. I had the smoked salmon and Sara had the grilled veggie with chipotle sauce. Of course we had to share it. Thanks so much Sara for bringing me here!

I bought this from the Golden Nugget for $35. Can’t wait to sand & paint it for my next DIY project.

New Hope, PA -my photos doesn’t do it justice. It’s a must visit place.

Thanks for reading! I hope you all had a great Sunday too.

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG) is a community art center and gallery that provides the public with access to Isaiah Zagar’s unique mosaic murals.

It’s located on South street which is along my commute to work everyday. I’m so fortunate to work in a city with so much to offer and I want to take advantage of it no matter how touristy it may be.

Visit Philly!

Must Have Bow Wedges

Just sharing another PreppyTeppy find. I found the perfect wedges with a cute bow on the back. It comes in three different colors- black, white, and pink.  Believe it or not but they’re from Target!

I bought both white and pink. The white one was too bridal like for me so I returned them. They are true to size but a little narrow in the front.

Check them out

Tassel earrings

I see it on my IG feed maybe once a day. I was hesitant at first but I actually really like my first pair of tassel earrings. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on beaded earrings and even thought maybe I can make my own but I don’t have the time so I stumbled on

For today only, they are having a sale on these earrings. They are $14.99 but originally $29.99.

Kendra Scott earrings

I went to Nordstrom today and found out that they were price matching so my Kendra Scott earrings came out to $41.60. I decided to get two. It’s free shipping online and don’t forget to sign up for to get money back on your online purchases. You can get up to 6% back if you shop at Nordstrom.

This is the meduim size so it’s perfect for my ears since the large ones are too heavy for my ear lopes.

This is turquoise and white.

Online shopping

Hello blog readers,

Most of us have a love/hate relationship with online shopping. It’s convenient in the sense that you don’t have to drive anywhere. However, you don’t know how the item will look on you. I also don’t like paying for shipping. So I tend to google coupon codes. If I decide to purchase, I usually go through to get money back. It actually works and I’m surprised that it does!

I tend to see a lot more companies reaching out after you’ve added items to your cart but didn’t purchase yet. I did this for this forever21 top. I really liked it because I saw it from other bloggers but I didn’t know if I really wanted it. So I signed in, left it in my cart and a couple of days later I received 40% off coupon code plus free shipping! I couldn’t say no at that point, plus I had a gift card. In total I paid less than 7 bucks for this top. I must say, it might be worthwhile to leave your cart because you never know what offer they will give you to complete your order. It’s also risky because it might get sold out. I guess it depends on how much you like the item.

Happy Shopping!

A local preppy store

Quelque Chose is my new favorite store. I didn’t think a store like this exsited  near me but I’m so excited to have found this preppy store.

This store is located in chestnut hill for all of my local readers. It has all my favorite brands such as Vineyard Vines, KJP, Lilly Pulitzer, and more.

I was there the other day and all of their Lilly was 40% off! So why wait in line if you can just go to this cute store and get the latest Lilly at a discount. They even had a 50 dollar rack with older Lilly stuff. That’s where I bought those lobstah roll shorts for $30!

Don’t mind the naked mannequin. I bought the dress right off of it.

Incredible sale!    This was the only section that was not 40% off.   This is what I tried on and more.

I’ll be back for sure so check them out!

Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale

Hi everyone,

So, you might’ve heard of this Lilly Warehouse sale. I’ve never been to it even though I’m like 30-40 minutes from Oaks, PA. I’m not a fan of crowds but I wanted to just experience it. I didn’t camp in front of target for the lilly release either. If I want something, I’m sure I’ll find it. I always find discounted lilly at the thrift store, on poshmark, or at their KOP store.

It was the last day so I decided to go. It opened at 8 and I arrived around 7:20. There were at least 200 people in front of me. Time went by fast and I didn’t think I was going to get in right away but I was shopping by 8:10. They kept the line moving which was great.

I went straight for the dresses pass all of the sweaters and cardigans. I knew what I wanted already. There were plenty of small sizes but not many M-L left. The fitting room was interesting, it was like a girl’s locker room. I was pretty calm and I took my time. I didn’t need to push and everyone was nice. It’s not as crazy as the media made it out to be. I left by 9:15 and by that time there wasn’t really a line. There were plenty of stuff. Granite, I’m sure there were more scarves and accessories on the first day which I wasn’t surprise about. Prices are decent, dresses were $69-89, shorts were $50, and shirts varied.

I definitely recommend finding out through social media whether or not to go. Look up the hashtag lillywhs, or like their facebook page for instant updates. I saw other people’s haul and I knew what I wanted. I thought it was worth it but only because I don’t live too far. I do think the August online sale is better. Thanks to my fellow bloggers for giving me a heads up because I knew what to expect and I wasn’t disappointed. I hope you all had a good time and got some good stuff. As for those out of towners, I hope you all spent some time in Philadelphia.

Memorial Day weekend

Hello blog readers,

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

It’s not just a time to go on vacation or another holiday of great sales. It’s important to think about the people that died serving our country. I give our armed forces the utmost respect for what they have done for us.

Even though Memorial Day is about remembering the people that have lost their lives, you can honor our current troops by sending them a coke.

Kroger co. will send a coke for every click to this link. You can also find the link there to customize your own coke.

Please continue to share and spread the word. Have a fun & safe holiday weekend!
