Wardrobe Boutique

It was a preppy Teppy takeover at the boutique. I volunteered again yesterday and I had the opportunity to style the mannequins since their prom event was over. I’ve never done this before but I definitely have a new appreciation for retail workers. It’s not easy finding the right pieces to put together.

Check out the before and after photos:

Bowtiful outfit

I’m obsessed with anything off shoulder but an off shoulder shirt with a bow is the best thing ever.

Get my outfit details here!

Top: ASOS l Skirt: J.Crew Factory l Tights: J.Crew Factory

For sizing reference, the shirt and skirt are both size 4. I’m usually smaller on top but the size 4 shirt fits perfectly. So $59.00 is a lot to spend on a shirt but if you’re a student sign up for unidays and get 10% off at ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Toms, ModCloth, 15% off at Ann Taylor and more.

I’ve been using this for years and it’s free. Sign up here!

Kendra Scott earrings

My first pair of Kendra Scott earrings was on sale at Nordstrom. However, emerald is the only color left for $31.20.

I like them but they are heavy or maybe I have weak ear lopes. The quality is great and it’s the perfect accessory to dress up an outfit.
I am sad it didn’t come with the Kendra Scott jewelry bag.

J.Crew Scallop dress – four ways

My favorite dress is now restocked at J.crew factory. It’s available in red or navy. This season’s style is a little different than the one I have from last year. The neckline is higher and the back drops lower. Nonetheless, it’s a classic, timeless style that you can find any occasion to wear it. I’m going to style it four ways I would wear this dress inspire some ideas on where and how to wear this dress. (And to justify your purchase)

1) A night out: Blazer
I used a bold color to make the outfit stand out. The gold accents really compliments the pink and balances the black.

Blazer: Forever21 | Clutch: Lilly pulitzer | Shoes: Jack Rogers | Necklace: Forever21

2) Work: Belt
This look is sophisticated for work depending on your occupation. I would wear this to maybe a special event at work since I’m in a business casual environment. The length of this dress can be tricky especially if you have long legs. I’m only 5’3 so it’s easier for me to get away with it.

Belt: H&M | Clutch: Tory Burch | Shoes: Express

3) Date night: Simple accessories
This is for a dinner in the city. I don’t wear heels but this would be the perfect occasion to wear nude heels. A statement necklace and a bright clutch can make this simple outfit a nice date night.

Necklace: Forever21 | Clutch: ASOS | Flats: J.crew Factory

4) Casual day: Button down shirt

So I’ve seen this people wear a classic powder blue shirt on the inside on the dress but I’m not sure how I feel about it. I wanted pattern and gingham is perfect but even a chambray shirt will work too. This is perfect for a shopping day, a day date, or brunch with your friends.

Shirt: Old navy | Purse: Kate Spade | Shoes: Jack Rogers

Target blazers for spring season

It’s hard to think about the spring when we’re still getting snow but fashion is always a season ahead. I went to Target and found myself two awesome blazers. They will be a must have for the spring so don’t miss out. They can both be worn for a casual day out with friends or even for business attire to work.

Striped Navy and White blazer $29.99

The shoulder looks weird because of the shoulder pads. The material is stretchy so it’s important to not shrink it.

This one caught my eye as soon as I walked into the section. Unfortunately, it’s not available online. I would wear this with a bright solid shirt underneath.

Hunter boots in mint

I’ve been in search for Tiffany blue or mint green Hunter boots for so long. I’ve checked every site including eBay, poshmark, and tradesy. So two weeks ago I stumbled on They have the boots I wanted but it was for kids. I can typically wear a 6 in kids but I remembered that Hunters run big. So even though I’m a size 7.5/8 in women’s I was able to still fit a size 5 in kids. Also, it’s a lot cheaper than getting it in adult size. Win-win.

Buy them before they sell out. I bought the tourmaline green ones but they have other great colors too. So you’re welcome!

Purchasing guide for L.L.Bean boots

You would think it would be simple to buy these boots but please read this before you make your purchase.

You have to decide which one you want.
Personally, I like the 6″ because I have big feet and the 8″ will not work for me. The 8″ is definitely better for places with a lot of snow but 6″ is perfect for a Philly resident.

The size is important. These boots run BIG. I’m usually a size 8 but I bought a size 7 wide and it fits perfectly even with camp socks. If you are between a size 6.5-7 buy a 6.

I know these are backordered but I got mine sooner than I thought. The most you can get these discounted would be either 10% or $10 off. I got the coupon from their catalog that I signed up for last year.

Make sure you pair these with J.crew camp socks!

Weekend travel…

Everyone should own a duffle bag. If you are going away for the weekend then this is the perfect size. It makes packing a little more enjoyable. This bag in particular is the golf version. I love golf and vineyard so it was the perfect combination.

It was $90.00 but it’s out of stock for now. You can also buy the weekender bag for $228.00.

I bought those sunglasses for only $82.15 which is originally $130.00. I left it in the piperlime cart and the next day they offered 25% off. Then I used my $20 gap reward.
